Notwithstanding my denigration, it was a well-written and, towards the end, there was quite a bit about strategy, which I enjoyed. It’s unique play-by-play section challenges readers and they will return again and again to this section for insight.

I read it about three years into my poker playing hobby and still did not understand much of what is said. This is clearly a case of quality over quantity. Essential Poker Math, Expanded Edition: Finally, if you ARE looking for hand analysis from one of the top players in the world, Barry covers some of that as well towards the end of this book and it’s good, but Dan Harrington’s book excel far beyond the little stuff that Barry touches upon here no doubt it was added later to cater towards this type of audience.

If you are looking for a poker strategy guide, this book isn’t for you. It is printed on greenstien photo-stock paper that makes it so heavy that reading in bed as I am want to do is difficult.
